Homes and housing

Glendale's housing includes a mix of midcentury ranch and Craftsman-inspired homes as well as newer Spanish-style builds. Historic neighborhoods date from the early 20th century, including Catlin Court, developed as one of Glendale's first planned neighborhoods from about 1915 to 1930 and now a National Register Historic District. Other historic areas include Adams Hill, with homes mostly constructed from 1915 to 1960 in Spanish, Tudor, and Mid-Century Modern styles, and Cottage Grove, described as Glendale's first housing tract, consisting of 14 homes on one block. Federal Housing Administration funds helped build additional homes in Catlin Court from about 1935 to 1942.
